  • To gain confidence in recognising the signs of abuse and how to act to protect the children in your care
  • To understand your responsibilities relating to safeguarding and child protection
  • To know how to act both to safeguard children and to safeguard yourself from allegations of abuse
  • To be aware of how to respond to child disclosures and understand the policies and procedures in your setting
