To provide an overview of Special Educational Needs and Disability issues and how this affects our practice

  • To define Special Educational Needs, Inclusion and Equality of Opportunity
  • To unpick inclusion in terms of policy and practice
  • To introduce the SEN Code of Practice (2014) and Disability Discrimination Act
  • To consider the role of the SENCo within an early years setting
  • To consider how we work in partnership with children, parents, other agencies
